Sus l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n se centran en: 1) el aprendizaje y la ense\u00f1anza de ingl\u00e9s como lengua extranjera, 2) la adquisici\u00f3n de vocabulario en L2, 3) el lenguaje figurado, y 4) el AICLE (Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenidos y Lenguas Extranjeras). Sus trabajos han aparecido en revistas como <em>Journal of Pragmatics<\/em>, <em>System<\/em>, <em>Language<\/em>, <em>Culture<\/em> <em>and Curriculum<\/em>, <em>Language Teaching Research<\/em>, <em>Review of Cognitive Linguistics<\/em>, <em>Metaphor and the Social World<\/em> o VIAL. Recientemente ha publicado el libro <em>E-learning in English Medium Instruction (EMI): Academic language for university students<\/em> (2023, Peter Lang). Ha coeditado tres vol\u00famenes: <em>Metaphor in Foreign Language Instruction <\/em>(2020, Mouton de Gruyter), <em>Applying Cognitive Linguistics: Figurative language in use, constructions and typology <\/em>(2018, John Benjamins), y <em>Metaphor in Use: Context, culture, and communication<\/em> 2012, John Benjamins), as\u00ed como varios cap\u00edtulos de libros con John Benjamins, Mouton de Gruyter, Routledge y Springer.
