Abstract Submission

Please bring your presentation on a USB stick to your assigned room, ideally the day before your session, and at the latest by the end of the preceding session.

A technician will assist you in uploading your presentation.

The format of presentations should be 16:9, ideally in PDF, or in LibreOffice or Microsoft PowerPoint. Personal laptops cannot be used for presentations.

At the end of the conference, all presentations will be deleted to prevent any copyright issues from arising.

All poster presenters will receive a personal email with their poster number and information about which poster session their poster presentation is scheduled for.

  • Posters scheduled for Poster session I on Monday 7 September:
    Setup: Monday 7 September, 8:00-10:00 
    Take down: Tuesday 8 September, 19:00-20:00
  • Posters scheduled for Poster session II on Wednesday 9 September:
    Setup: Wednesday 9 September, 8:00-9:30
    Take down: Friday 11 September, 12:00-14:00

Please be aware that due to the half-days of Wednesday and Friday due to the social program, the effective exhibition time is the same for the two poster sessions.

All posters should include title, name of authors, institution, city and country. The lettering of the title should be at least 25 mm high and the main text at least 10 mm high.

The poster should be easily readable from a distance of 2 meters.

The language of the poster should be English.

The measurement of your poster should be approximately A0 Portrait, (maximum 84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm high – 33.1 in. wide and 46.8 in. high).

Please bring your poster to the Conference yourself.

The Conference Secretariat will provide equipment for setting up the posters on the boards.

The Conference Secretariat does not take responsibility for left or damaged posters.

Abstracts are required for all oral presentations and posters.

Abstracts deadline is 27 March 2026 (23:59 CET) and the submission will be closed afterwards.

All abstracts will be published on the first day of the conference in a publicly available deliverable of the ECIS 2026 Conference.

It is the responsibility of all authors that all studies are performed with respect to national legislation, international legislation and ethical guidelines both with regards to humans and animals.

It is the responsibility of the authors that the author list is correct: all authors must qualify as authors and agree on the contents of the abstract.

It is the responsibility of the authors that the abstract is written in correct and clear English language. Language should be inclusive and take into consideration the wide audience of the ECIS 2026.

The presenting author must register as an active participant at the conference at the latest 14 days after acceptance of an abstract. The ECIS 2026 Conference Secretariat reserves the right to exclude any abstract that is not followed by a participant registration at the latest 14 days after notification of acceptance.

The full abstract (including title, authors and affiliations, main text, references, funding acknowledgement and figures, if applicable) must fit in one single page and be submitted via the abstract form in the ECIS 2026 website. No other way will be considered for abstract submission.

The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to clearly indicate the nature of the study. Please check that your email address (submitter and presenting author) is correct as it will be used for contacting you after the review process.

The Scientific Committee will review and evaluate the abstracts.

Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to all authors by 18 May 2026.

For accepted abstracts, the Scientific Committee will decide the type of the presentation, taking into account the preferred presentation type chosen by the abstract submitter.
