Welcome to the XXXIII Hispanic-Portuguese Conference on Scientific Management

The Faculty of Education, Economics and Technology in Ceuta is organising the XXXIII Hispanic-Portuguese Conference on Scientific Management under the motto: “Where knowledge unites: scientific development and business resilience”. It will be held in Ceuta from 24 to 27 January 2024.

This initiative, which has seen scientific and academic links between Portuguese and Spanish universities flourish over the years, began as a space for debate and exchange of ideas in the field of economics and business. Today, thirty-three editions later, the changing economic and social environment we live in demands an increasingly ambitious commitment to the exchange of ideas. This enriches both participants and their universities, and leads to the development of joint projects, generating scientific impact and contributing to the economic ecosystem.

The Autonomous City of Ceuta will host the XXXIII edition of the conference. Ceuta is a city of four cultures, located on the African shore of the Straits of Gibraltar, bathed by the Mediterranean Sea and bordering Morocco. It was conquered by John I of Portugal in 1415 thus making Ceuta and Portugal eternally bound by historical ties that date back to the origins of contemporary colonialism.
