Dear Coimbra Group Members, 

The University of Granada is honoured to host the 2026 Coimbra Group Annual Conference and General Assembly, which will take place from 16 to 19 June 2026. Under the theme “Transforming the Local and Social Environment through Research and Innovation”, this year’s meeting invites all member universities to reflect on how academic work can drive meaningful change in our communities. The programme will provide opportunities for dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning, bringing together scholars, administrators, and students from across the network.

This edition holds special significance for the University of Granada, as it coincides with the 500th anniversary of the beginning of our activities as an academic institution. We look forward to welcoming the Coimbra Group community to our city in this highly symbolic year, and to creating an inspiring environment in which new ideas, partnerships, and initiatives can flourish.
