Protection of personal data

The data provided to the University of Granada through this Portal or any other medium or support will be processed by the University of Granada, whose head office is located at Hospital Real, Avenida del Hospicio, s/n. 18071, Granada, as the data controller.

The purpose of the collection and automated processing of personal data is the management, provision, extension and improvement of the services requested at any given time by the user and the follow-up of any queries raised, which will be duly informed at the time of collection of your personal data, requesting your prior express consent, where appropriate, insofar as the basis that legitimises the processing is based on this and not on any other basis, in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (hereinafter LOPDGDG), and other regulations in force in this area.

The University of Granada will transfer or communicate your data when it is necessary to achieve the purposes envisaged for each activity subject to processing and in accordance with the legal bases that legitimise these, which you can consult, as well as the category of recipients through the Register of Processing Activities.

Any use of personal data other than the intended purposes without the consent of the data subject or, where applicable, those necessary to comply with the contractual, legal or public interest obligations entrusted to the University of Granada, will be the sole responsibility of the person carrying it out and may be brought to the attention of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, without prejudice to any legal action that the University may take.

The University of Granada guarantees the strictest confidentiality in the collection and processing of the data provided by its users. To this end, it will adopt the necessary measures to prevent their theft, loss, modification, unauthorised processing or access, taking into account the nature of the data and the potential risks to which they are exposed, whatever their origin, according to the state of technology. To this end, the measures adopted follow the recommendations of the National Security Scheme and the minimum measures established by the University of Granada.

Users may at any time exercise their rights of access, rectification or deletion, limitation, opposition, portability, the right not to be subject to automated individual decisions and to withdraw consent by writing to the General Secretariat (Hospital Real. Avda. del Hospicio, s/n. 18071 Granada), which is the competent body of the University of Granada in matters of personal data protection and will be responsible for providing the appropriate response, following the appropriate procedures for verification of identity and other relevant procedures, within one month of receipt of the request.

The presentation may be made in person at any of the General Registry Offices of the UGR or by any of the procedures provided for in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, accompanying a copy of the ID card. It can also be done electronically through the Electronic Registry of the University of Granada ( https://sede.ugr.es/sede/ ). There are also web forms available to exercise each of the rights, which can be found on the website of the General Secretariat (https://secretariageneral.ugr.es/pages/proteccion_datos).
